For many veterans the DAV Transportation Program, is often their only viable source of transportation to Wisconsin’s
(4) VA medical facilities. Our program is essential, simply because of the large number of veterans who have no
alternative health care available to them.  It is invaluable to those veterans existing on small or fixed incomes, the
infirm, the elderly, as well those who cannot drive themselves for various reasons.  All veterans with scheduled
medical appointments are eligible to ride the DAV van free of charge.  This is especially unique in today’s economy
when we so often hear, “there are no free rides.”

Please support our program of assistance by becoming a volunteer driver or office worker.  The following locations
need of your support:

DAV Transportation at Zablocki Medical Center and Appleton Out-Patient Clinic is in need of Volunteer Drivers.

accommodating your schedule.

The VA Hospitals and Clinic systems will provide a physical and TB test to all Volunteer drivers.  A driver’s refresher
course and back round check are required to become a DAV volunteer driver.  The VA covers all expenses incurred
in this process. Again, you need not be a veteran to be a volunteer.

We can offer you an opportunity to help and we have a volunteer role you will enjoy. Call today to experience the joys
of volunteering.
